Christ Church Episcopal in Savannah, Georgia, seeks an interim rector for 12-18 months who will continue to guide and support our growing congregation. Our beloved rector of 16 years is retiring and leaving on great terms and the church in an excellent position. The Mother Church of Georgia, was founded in 1733 and was the first house of worship in the colony. Its early rectors include John Wesley and George Whitefield.

The church has a strong foundation, with the largest budget in its history, a healthy endowment, no debt, and strong congregational engagement. The church is proud of:
- Its growing congregation of approximately 700 members
- Thriving adult, youth, and children’s programs
- Numerous lay volunteers, including 65 youth acolytes
- A beautiful sanctuary located in Savannah’s charming downtown historic district
- A wide offering of mission work both within Savannah and the international community
- Our strong music program with excellent leadership
- Support of the recently launched capital campaign to restore our Harrison & Harrison organ with 2/3 of target already committed
