January – April 2016 consecrations, elections and consents in The Episcopal Church

[Episcopal Church Office of Public Affairs press release] In the next four months – January 1, 2016 to April 30 – The Episcopal Church will witness the consecrations of two bishops, the elections of two bishops, and the consent process of one bishop.

Consecrations

February 13 – Diocese of the Dominican Republic; the Rev. Moisés Quezada Mota, elected Bishop Coadjutor on July 26.

April 16 – Diocese of Eastern Oregon; the Rev. Patrick W. Bell, pending successful completion of the consent process.

Elections

During January – April, two bishop elections are scheduled:

February 6: Diocese of Northern Indiana

March 12: Diocese of Pennsylvania

Canonical Consent Process

There is one canonical consent process underway for January to April:

The Rev. Patrick W. Bell, Diocese of Eastern Oregon, elected December 12 (consent date to be established)
