Has your parish taken the Congregational Vitality Assessment?

If you have, The FaithX Project and their partners at the Episcopal Church Foundation would like to hear your congregation’s story:

  • What did you learn about your congregation?
  • How did your congregation put those learning to work?
  • What kind of impact have those learning had on your congregation?

If you haven’t heard about the Congregational Vitality Assessment (or CVA), now might be a good time to experience it in your congregation. The CVA is the only research-based, online congregational vitality diagnostic tool. It assesses 12 areas of congregational vitality and sustainability, and provides positive prescriptions for leveraging strengths and bolstering areas that need improvement.

Do you have an interesting case story about your congregation’s experience with the CVA that you’d like to share with others?

It’s easy! Here’s how:

  1. You send us an email with your name and contact information, the name and location of your congregation or judicatory, and a sentence or two about what you want to share.
  2. We email you the case story instructions, including 5 questions we’d like you to answer in a paragraph or two?
  3. You write up your case story and email it back to us.

We hope to post these on a regular basis on the FaithX blog.

Meanwhile, our partners at ECF are also collecting CVA case stories to post on the Vital Practices site.

We can’t promise to feature every case story we receive, as much as we’d like to. Some case stories we will let stand on their own – others we may combine into a tale of two congregations or judicatories. Who know? We might even post your story on the Episcopal News Service site.
