[Lambeth Palace press release] Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby is delighted to have been invited to conduct the baptism of HRH Prince George.

Kensington Palace announced this afternoon that the Prince will be christened on Wednesday 23 October at the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.

Archbishop Justin said today: ‘I am delighted to be invited to conduct the baptism of HRH Prince George. It is a great privilege and honour and will without doubt be an occasion of immense joy and celebration. I am looking forward to welcoming him into the family of the church.’
