|St. Ignatius of Antioch
|Our parish serves 300 community members weekly and is excited to have a spiritual shepherd lead us to gather and serve even more.
St. Ignatius awaits a full-time rector walking on the path to us. Our calling was refreshed recently, including an increase in remuneration and an updated Parish Profile.
The main focus of the congregation is outreach through our resale shop. Volunteers for the shop come from within the congregation and the community, enhancing the bond between worshipping members and our local Antioch area. Fellowship and formation are key areas of focus for St. Ignatius, as we seek to learn and grow together. The next rector of St. Ignatius should value tradition while leading the congregation to new ideas and purposes as we recruit new and diverse members.
Antioch is located just south of the Wisconsin border, about equidistant from Chicago and Milwaukee. The civic and social opportunities in Illinois’ and Wisconsin’s biggest cities make Antioch a highly desirable location for families and individuals. Surrounded by lakes, rivers and open land, our recreation includes boating, fishing, skiing, and snowboarding. Downtown Antioch provides shopping and dining, a community theatre, and seasonal festivals and concerts. Other close-by attractions include amusement parks, a renaissance fair and shopping malls. Within five miles of Antioch are large companies such as Amazon, Haribo candies and Abbott Labs.
