Job Description
Approaching its 75th anniversary in 2025, the congregation seeks a dynamic leader to help guide its vision into the future and continue the mission of praising God, growing in Christ, and joyfully serving others. Transfiguration identifies itself as a progressive church committed to welcoming all persons. Healthy discussion and fellowship are the foundation of its community, and the congregation seeks a rector who shares its passion for building meaningful relationships and embracing differences.

The new rector will lead worship, spiritual formation, pastoral care, and engagement with the thriving Palos Park Episcopal Day Care and Learning Center, which has been serving the community for over 40 years. The new rector will be a strong preacher who is approachable, honest, and compassionate. The position includes a rectory in Palos Park, Illinois, a village in southwestern Cook County. Palos Park is surrounded by Cook County Forest Preserves. The community hosts various events, and the Metra train line provides easy access to Chicago’s downtown loop.
