| Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, Little Rock (Membership 1200; ASA 320) seeks a full-time Associate Rector. The Associate Rector serves sacramentally and participates in the preaching rotation on Sundays at 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 5:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. The Associate Rector participates in the teaching rotation for the 9:15 a.m. Sunday Adult Forum and participates in the facilitation of weekly bible studies. A primary area of responsibility is pastoral care and the coordination of pastoral care, including home and hospital visits, in-office pastoral consultation with parishioners, and participation in programming including the Mourner’s Path and Community of Hope. The Associate Rector will also be tasked with vitalizing Saint Mark’s small group ministries. Saint Mark’s is an expanding parish, and some responsibilities likely will be flexible over time.
Saint Mark’s is a multi-clergy staff, with a Rector, two full-time Associate Rectors, and a Deacon. Additionally, Saint Mark’s has multiple professional lay staff and robust and active lay leadership. Saint Mark’s is the largest Episcopal parish in Little Rock and second largest in the Diocese of Arkansas. The Diocese of Arkansas is healthy and vibrant, open and affirming, and newly under the leadership of the Rt. Rev. John Harmon.
