Some thoughts on the Anglican ordinariate

Posted Jan 6, 2012

[Episcopal Diocese of Texas] Diocese of Texas Bishop C. Andrew Doyle has blogged about his perspective on the formation of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter under the patronage of Our Lady of Walsingham, which the Vatican has offered to to welcome former Episcopal parishes and priests – including married priests – seeking to enter the Roman Catholic Church. The ordinariate will be based in Houston, as is the Diocese of Texas.

In his conclusion Doyle says, in part, he “hope[s] that the Ordinariate will be a place where some who feel spiritually homeless may find a dwelling place; and a place where others may come to a better understanding of their own Anglican heritage.”
