The Abundant Harvest food pantry received four pallets of canned chickpeas from Goya Foods on Sept. 22. This contribution will help solve food insecurity for hundreds of at-risk families. The Abundant Harvest Kitchen is a senior agency partner of the Montgomery County Food Bank and sources 30,000 pounds of food per week to feed more than 106,000 families each year. According to their website, Goya Foods is the largest, Hispanic-owned food company in the United States. The Goya story is as much about the importance of family as it is about achieving the American dream.

The Abundant Harvest Kitchen is owned by the St. Isidore Episcopal Church in Spring, TX, whose charitable initiatives include the food pantry, seven small group ministries, a wellness program, and a for-profit bistro in which all proceeds help financially sustain these efforts.
