Funeral arrangements for Bishop Edmond Lee Browning announced

[Episcopal Church Office of Public Affairs press release] Funeral arrangements have been announced for former Presiding Bishop Edmond Lee Browning, the 24th Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, who died on July 11.

Presiding Bishop and Primate Michael Curry has called for all Episcopalians to pray for Bishop Browning in prayers this Sunday.

Among the expected dignitaries and special guests at the funeral are Presiding Bishop Curry; former Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori; former Presiding Bishop Frank Griswold; President of the House of Deputies the Rev. Gay Clark Jennings; Executive Officer of General Convention the Rev. Canon Michael Barlowe; former President of the House of Deputies Bonnie Anderson; Chancellor to the Presiding Bishop David Booth Beers.

The funeral services will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Hood River, Oregon, and Tuesday, July 19 at 2 pm Pacific at Trinity Cathedral in Portland, Oregon.  More information here.  A service is also planned at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Honolulu, Hawaii, on Aug. 13 at 11 a.m.
