EPPN Lenten Series: Holy Week

Posted Mar 23, 2016

[Episcopal Public Policy Network] This year, the Episcopal Public Policy Network’s Lenten Series focuses on “Engaging the Beloved Community.” In the final piece of the series, Heidi Kim, The Episcopal Church’s Missioner for Racial Reconciliation, reflects on Holy Week and her hope for building the Beloved Community.

Holy Week is a sacred time to reflect on our individual roles in building the Beloved Community. As we work together with our neighbors toward the Beloved Community, Heidi writes, we must admit our complicity in the persecution and oppression of others. Only then can we fully engage in the ongoing work of reconciliation and justice-making and realize Jesus’ dream for this world.
