The Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma has received notification from Presiding Bishop and Primate Michael B. Curry and Registrar of General Convention, the Rev. Canon Michael Barlowe, that Bishop-Elect Poulson C. Reed has received the required majority of consents in the canonical consent process detailed in Canon III.11.3.

In giving consent to his ordination and consecration, Standing Committees and bishops with jurisdiction attest to knowing of “no impediment on account of which” Bishop-Elect Reed ought not to be ordained as bishop, and that his election was conducted in accordance with the Canons.

The Rev. Poulson C. Reed was elected Bishop Coadjutor on December 14, 2019.  His consecration and ordination service will be on April 18, 2020.

La Diócesis de Oklahoma anunció el exitoso proceso de consentimiento canónico

La Diócesis Episcopal Oklahoma recibió una notificación del Obispo Presidente y Primado Michael B. Curry y del Registrador de la Convención General, el Reverendo Canónigo Michael Barlowe, de que el obispo electo Poulson C. Reed ha recibido la mayoría requerida de consentimientos en el proceso de consentimiento canónico detallado en el Canon III.11.3.

Al dar consentimiento a convertirse en obispo diocesano, los Comités Permanentes y los obispos con jurisdicción dan fe de que “no hay impedimento debido al cual” el obispo electo Reed no deba ser ordenado como obispo, y de que su elección se llevó a cabo de acuerdo con los cánones.

El Reverendísimo Poulson C. Reed fue elegido obispo diocesano el 14 de diciembre de 2019. Su servicio de instalación será el 18 de abril de 2020.
