Church Pension Group Appoints Airié Stuart Senior Vice President and Publisher of Church Publishing Incorporated

The Church Pension Group (CPG), a financial services organization that serves The Episcopal Church, announced today the appointment of Airié Stuart as Senior Vice President and Publisher of Church Publishing Incorporated (CPI), a publisher of worship materials, books, music, and digital ministry resources for the Church. She will report directly to CPG’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Frank Armstrong.

“I am very excited to announce Airié’s appointment to lead Church Publishing,” said Frank. “Her industry expertise and experience with some of the most preeminent publishing houses, authors, and thought leaders in the world will help advance our efforts to improve efficiencies, strengthen the business, and continue to meet the publishing needs of The Episcopal Church.”

Prior to joining CPG, she served as an Independent Content Strategist for The Stuart Agency, a literary agency, where she helped manage the firm. Before this, she was Senior Vice President and Publisher (The Americas) at Palgrave Macmillan/Macmillan, where she managed editorial, marketing, sales (trade, academic, and online), distribution, subsidiary rights, and publicity departments. Prior to this, she held editorial positions with John Wiley & Sons, Simon & Schuster, Warner Books, and Harper Collins. She was voted one of the top 50 women in publishing by Book Business Magazine in 2009.

She holds an MFA from Columbia University and a BA from Cornell University, and attended the MBA program at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University.
