The Episcopal Church is accepting applications for the position of Public Affairs Officer, a member of the Presiding Bishop’s staff.

The Public Affairs Officer is responsible for maintaining and strengthening media relationships outside the Episcopal Church and for working with the communications staff and church leaders to develop quality communications within the Episcopal Church. After the Presiding Bishop, the Public Affairs Officer will often be expected to be the spokesperson for the Episcopal Church.

Additionally, the Public Affairs Officer collaborates with diocesan communicators, bishops, and other Episcopal Church staff on media coverage and media training for Presiding Bishop’s visits, Episcopal Revivals, Title IV proceedings, and other shared events.
