Job Description


The Senior Marketing Manager supports the mission of Trinity Church Wall Street by serving as the key point person on paid advertising, promotional campaigns, audience development, and digital marketing, with an emphasis on leading multi-channel efforts for Music at Trinity, Trinity Retreat Center, the Trinity Cemetery & Mausoleum, and high-level speaking events. Utilizing a range of tools, this role is responsible for strategic planning, campaign implementation, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, analyzing and reporting on results, and ensuring message alignment with Trinity’s mission and core values. The successful candidate will be a strategic, creative, and collaborative communicator with a talent for engaging diverse audiences and a passion for marketing, project management, and growth strategies.


  • Create and execute impactful marketing and communication plans to provide audiences with a cohesive view of Trinity’s mission and programs, with particular focus on priority programs that require significant audience acquisition, such as Music, Trinity Retreat Center, Trinity Cemetery & Mausoleum, and high-level speaking events
  • Lead strategic planning sessions and set goals for Trinity’s marketing strategy, including expanding audience reach and overseeing relevant market research; create strategic plans aligned with these goals, and craft and implement long-range, multi-channel campaigns that target and grow key audiences with effective messaging
  • Implement digital marketing strategies across channels, including web, email, social media, advertising, SMS, UTM codes, and SEO/SEM, as well as occasional print and OOH placements, working closely with internal and external partners to manage the user journey and engage audiences
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Communications & Marketing on video production, graphic design, social media content, website updates, print materials, storytelling, photography, and media relations to achieve departmental goals
  • Supervise marketing specialist who is primarily responsible for Trinity’s email marketing strategy, list management, digital advertising campaigns, and replies to inbound customer requests
  • Measure the performance of marketing efforts, including analyzing and reporting data and metrics and optimizing effectiveness
  • Manage marketing/advertising budget
  • Occasional work on evenings and weekends as required
  • Adhere to confidentiality rules and all other Trinity Church Wall Street policies, procedures, and rules
  • Perform all duties in a manner that promote Trinity’s mission and core values
  • Assume other related responsibilities and special projects as required.


  • Strong working knowledge of marketing and communication strategic planning and best practices
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, presentation, writing, and editing skills
  • Skilled at collaborating, maintaining strong working relationships, and building buy-in with all levels of management and support staff
  • Comfortable analyzing results and making recommendations to drive continuous improvement
  • Experience with Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics, Wrike, Google AdWords, Drupal, Hootsuite, or similar
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Tech-savvy and curious about new tools and systems to accomplish goals more effectively and efficiently
  • Passion for the mission of Trinity Church Wall Street; knowledge of church workings helpful


  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • 7-10 years of related marketing and communication experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory role
