|The Community of St. John Baptist is a religious community of vowed nuns in the Episcopal Church based in Mendham, NJ (www.csjb.org.) The heart of our ministry of hospitality is St. Marguerite’s Retreat House, which is located on the beautiful grounds of the Community of St. John Baptist right across the lawn from our Convent. We welcome retreat groups from all faiths and walks of life, and we are radically inclusive of all God’s children. We have 27 guest rooms and we serve home-cooked meals to all groups.
We are looking for a part-time Retreat House Manager (25 hours per week) who will handle the day-to-day operations of our retreat ministry and help it to grow. Groups are present at the Retreat House on most weekends, with occasional groups staying for 1 week or for 2-3 weekdays. The Retreat House Manager will be required to work without close supervision, ensuring all inquiries and bookings are handled professionally and efficiently.
Job includes salary + a newly renovated 1-bedroom basement apartment suitable for an individual or couple (utilities included) + 3-weeks’ annual vacation at the beginning of July, 2 personal days and 5 days sick leave as per the New Jersey Sick Leave Policy.
