|St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church is seeking a new rector who is compassionate, caring, and collaborative; who will care for those in need and who is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where all individuals, regardless of background, feel valued and accepted.
The ideal candidate will work to understand and acknowledge the current state of the church and be able to articulate a vision for growth and be open to new ideas and willing to embrace innovation. Our new rector will need skills in working with the Vestry to efficiently manage the church’s staff, facilities, and other resources. We are looking for someone who is willing to be collaborative, cooperative with the lay leadership, and lead by example.
In addition to being a compassionate leader, we are looking for someone who is a homilist grounded in the power and mystery of the liturgy. We want someone who can deliver sermons that bring the message to impact daily life, that bring the teaching of Jesus to real-life situations. The role requires the ability to communicate effectively with both congregation members and the wider community.
