We seek a rector who can bring growth, particularly with young couples and families, continue the strong discipleship that has been built here, and advance our significant mission and outreach programs.  We seek a preacher who can make scripture relevant in the 21^st century and challenge people to a deeper faith.

As a church we offer both Rite I and Rite II. At various times we have had a single rector; at others, a rector and an associate. The new rector must be nimble, work independently and collaboratively with a capable staff and, if budget allows, an associate.

While we seek a strong leader who can keep the church fiscally sound and spiritually dynamic, our new rector will have deep faith and a love for all God’s children and be a community builder. While many members of the parish state they are looking for a progressive priest, the congregation has many different perspectives. Our new rector will embrace our diversity as a strength in this unique moment in our country.

The best candidate for St. John’s is a good listener. As a small, strong, faithful community, we seek someone who will take time to get to know and understand the congregation so we can grow and learn together through mutual respect in faith. A mature follower of Christ, our new rector will lead an eager flock to greater love and grace.
