St. Philip’s is a friendly, generous, caring, inclusive, and welcoming parish in Benzie County, a stunning area in northwest Michigan with abundant recreational opportunities and deep blue waters. The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, ranked by National Geographic as among the most beautiful places on earth, is just a few miles from St. Philip’s front door. We are a small, close-knit congregation whose members, mostly retired, truly care about one another. While we are not a wealthy parish, we are blessed with an endowment fund that provides us considerable financial stability. Our liturgy is traditional with outstanding music. We are socially conscious with many volunteer opportunities. While our Benzie County location is beautiful, it also has pockets of deep poverty and neighbors in need, which we endeavor to help as we can.
