Holy Comforter parish is seeking a Christ-centered priest with experience in pastoral ministry and capable of leading education. The Rector should be present to the congregation and potential new members both through outreach and visits, as well as through building educational opportunities in the parish.

Our Rector should be warm and welcoming, an inspirational preacher and leader of worship who can share the good news of Christ and show how to apply faith in our own lives. A good sense of humor and a personal commitment to spiritual growth are important to nurture the Holy Comforter church of today and into the future.

The ideal Rector would also have strong organizational skills, to be able to effectively mobilize and work closely with active lay volunteers in the congregation. The ability to build consensus and marshal resources and activity beyond the parish to include other area parishes, the Deanery, the Diocese, and the National Church is also important.

The Church of the Holy Comforter is located in Drexel Hill, an established community with increasing diversity and a growing school age population. Drexel Hill is located 35 minutes from center city Philadelphia.
