Calvary Episcopal Church is a rapidly growing parish who keeps Christ at the center of everything we do. Our love of God and each other is the common thread in everything from Sunday Morning Worship to every gathering of faithful believers throughout the week. We are very blessed with strong leadership and amazing people who work tirelessly to further the work of God on earth and in our community.

Ashland has deep roots – being situated on the Ohio River has long made us a hub for industry such as coal, iron, and petroleum. Calvary is located right in the heart of downtown, where we can enjoy the renewed passion for small businesses and the arts. Our church is across the street from the historic Paramount Arts Center, and just a couple of blocks from a great community space called Broadway Square. New hand-painted murals are popping up all over town, and Central Park is always being revitalized and improved.

Educational opportunities abound here. We have excellent school systems, both secular and Christian. Ashland itself is home to a Community College, and there are several other higher education institutions right around us.

Just a few minutes’ drive will put you in Huntington, WV, home of Marshall University. Having a “larger” city nearby affords many employment opportunities and other amenities.
