|St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Riberas del Pilar, Jalisco, Mexico, announces a part-time rector position for one who knows God’s presence in their life, responds to God’s leadership and is gifted sharing it.
We are searching for an engaging preacher and teacher who can translate biblical teaching into practical daily life and strives to foster the spiritual growth and development of our membership, both individually and collectively
We want a leader who can inspire and equip our laity to continue doing God’s work within our expat parish and the larger expat and Mexican communities.
We look for a rector who has effective communication skills, can facilitate spiritual growth, and coordinate Christian Education classes. Our rector must have the ability to lead and encourage new and existing members.
The rector’s responsibilities include leading worship, preaching, teaching, offering and coordinating pastoral care, and connecting to the church community as well as the extended communities. Our active church members are prepared to partner with and support our new rector in fulfilling these obligations.
Since our membership and our larger community are diverse in country of origin, languages spoken and theological perspectives, our new rector must be strongly committed in their own faith, flexible, non-judgmental, and willing to learn new ways of thinking, being and doing the work God has called them to do.
