||St Mary’s Episcopal Church seeks our next Rector to lead us into our next chapter of shared life and ministry.
We are a warm and welcoming 75-year-old parish looking for that special individual who can help us generate continued growth to serve God and our community.
We are a church that follows many of the sacred, Anglican traditions. But we’re also not afraid of — and often enthusiastically welcome — the incorporation in our worship of more contemporary liturgy and music. On those occasions in which a picture is worth a thousand words, we call upon our state-of-the-art multi-media projection system. Whether bringing scripture to life, projecting song lyrics, or presenting a video montage of a year in ministry, our multi-media equipment is deemed an asset to the worship experience.
The people of St. Mary’s Parish form a unique and varied community. Young and old. Married and single. While professionals such as lawyers, accountants and doctors are prevalent in number, so too are other businesspeople along with members of the military, teachers, and retirees. In many ways, St. Mary’s is a Parish that has been in constant contact since it was founded 75 years ago: families with teenagers and older persons with grown children and grandchildren walking together in Christ with younger single people and couples with and without young children.
We seek a rector who will help us build on our strengths while being open to new ways which the Holy Spirit will lead us. We hope you will be able to visit us and see not only our accomplishments but also our potential to truly live out our mission statement: “To Know Christ and Make Him Known.”

Tampa, with its burgeoning downtown skyline, is the business, financial and cultural center of the Tampa Bay region, one of the largest metro areas in the United States with more than 2.5 million people spread across five counties. Products as diverse as citrus, cigars, strawberries, and phosphate fuel our economy. Tampa boasts a population of nearly 400,000 and is an eclectic city with strong Latin heritage and other rich cultural influences. Our sunny, tropical weather, moderated by the surrounding water, allows for ample year-round outdoor activities. As well, Tampa is home to professional sports teams and a dynamic arts scene.
