|Emmanuel Episcopal Church|
|Emmanuel seeks a full-time rector with strong pastoral care and worship leadership skills who will join us in promoting social justice through community engagement. We are a medium-sized parish located in downtown Staunton, Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley, and have been a part of this community for 125 years.
We seek a rector who demonstrates preaching excellence and spiritual leadership. We appreciate intelligent, theological, love-centered sermons. We value pastoral care for all people, recognizing the diversity in our congregation. Emmanuel seeks a personable and caring priest who will be concerned for our parishioners’ well-being and will work with us to welcome new members from all communities of people to serve God. Our next rector will need to work closely with our members and appreciate our lay-led traditions, but also challenge us to take up new spiritual tasks. Social justice and interfaith relationships are important aspects of our ministry, and we look to our new rector to walk with us as we engage with the larger community.
If you feel called to start the process of discernment with us, please send a letter introducing yourself, your resume, and your OTM portfolio to Canon Jonathan Harris, Diocese of Southwestern Virginia. email@example.com
