|The position we seek to fill is for the rector of our mid-size parish. This person will supervise the church’s worship and spiritual development, operations and facilities, financial health and community ministries. The rector is complemented by an assistant rector, who shares responsibilities for leading worship, developing programs and caring for the spiritual and emotional needs of the parish. The rector supervises church staff. Both clergy members foster active participation from staff and parishioners in all aspects of parish life and worship. The consensus of our parishioners is that the new rector should emphasize developing opportunities for spiritual growth, leading us to live into our vision and mission for the parish, and growing church
A task force met over the course of several months in 2019 to develop a strategic plan to address St. Paul’s most critical needs. The group determined that the three areas most critical to the health and growth of the church are facilities, financial stewardship and human resources (lay leadership as well as paid staff). The rector’s primary areas of focus will reflect this strategic plan and the implementation of the strategic plan will direct the parish’s major decisions and activities over the next several years.
