Job Description
Poised to enter into an exciting new chapter in the life of the parish, Washington Memorial Chapel is seeking a Rector uniquely qualified to partner with and lead the chapel as it continues to grow in its dual missions of worshiping God and honoring the legacy of George Washington.

Located in historic Valley Forge National Historical Park, the chapel sits on over 40 acres and hosts tens of thousands of visitors to its campus each year. Tourists and parishioners alike are captivated by the 115 year-old Gothic revival chapel, the 58-bell carillon tower, and the tree-lined serenity of the churchyard. All are welcome at one of the Chapel’s three weekend worship services, each grounded in the liturgical traditions of the Episcopal Church. An active and dedicated community of laity and staff supports a wide range of ministries, caring for those both within the parish walls and beyond.

The next rector will serve as pastor, spiritual leader, a key partner for the capital campaign, and engaging preacher with the ability to inspire all to live as followers of Jesus Christ, proclaiming the Gospel to the world.
