|St.Luke’s Episcopal Church|
|St. Luke’s Episcopal Church has a long history of being the hands and feet of Jesus in the urban core of Atlanta, GA.
Founded in Atlanta in 1864, St. Luke’s has flexed her leadership at pivotal times in our nation’s history and has remained true to her roots as an “in town” Episcopal church located on historic Peachtree Street. Our mission is “to be a beacon of Christ’s love by welcoming all as God’s own, nurturing our parish in faith with joy, and striving for justice and reconciliation.” We view St. Luke’s as a sanctuary- a safe space of inclusion, worship, service and conversation. We are a congregation who values diversity and has a reputation for progressive thought and action. We are also a congregation who welcomes differing perspectives. We are committed to Episcopal tradition, fellowship, diversity, collaboration and social responsibility.
We are a large parish seeking a Rector who believes that nothing is impossible with God and welcomes the opportunity to reach out to all of God’s children – holding that the closer we draw to one another, the closer we draw to God. The tapestry of St. Luke’s shall be a glimpse of the body of God as we are ALL made in the Divine Image.
We seek a Rector who has the following attributes:
An inspiring, knowledgeable, spiritual preacher and teacher who shares our Episcopal tradition
We seek a Rector with successful experience managing the operations of a large urban church and will guide the growth of our parish with spirit filled leadership.
Will you join us in our journey?
