Job Description
We are seeking a Full Time Priest in Charge and partner in shared ministry (that can become Rector) for two Episcopal churches in beautiful Northwest Iowa lakeside towns. Our small, vibrant churches want a priest who will lead & support our members and our mission of restoring all people to unity with God and each other in Christ. A potential candidate must have the capacity to inspire and connect people to God’s word and have strong pastoral care skills. We strive for a leader with excitement & devotion who will spend time in our communities; equipping us to attract families and youth & reach new people.
St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Spirit Lake is located in the Iowa Great Lakes, on 4+ acres of well-kept land with gardens, walking paths, prairie & chalice gardens. A Celtic walk and columbarium are also on our grounds. A popular tourist destination, we also have a number of manufacturers and a strong agricultural presence. We are across the street from an award-winning hospital and its medical campus.
All Saints Episcopal Church in Storm Lake is on approx. 7 acres of some of the last undeveloped land around Storm Lake and is rich with wildlife that inhabit the locally known Episcopal Creek. Deer roam freely, butterflies are abundant and birds fill the air with song. Maintaining the grounds & building is a labor of love that unites the congregation. We often use the land for nature and star camps with potential future use of the land for conservation and education.
