Job Description
Saints John, Paul, & Clement in Mt. Vernon, New York—the little church with a big heart–  is seeking a part time Priest-in-Charge (PIC). The Priest-in-Charge (PIC) has full authority of Rector, except tenure, and shall lead as pastor, priest and teacher, sharing in the councils of this congregation and of the whole church, in communion with our Bishop.  By word and action, informed at all times by the Holy Scriptures, the Book of Common Prayer, and the Constitution and Canons of the General Convention and the Diocese of New York, the PIC shall proclaim the Gospel, love and serve Christ’s people, nourish them, and strengthen them to glorify God in this life and in the life to come.

The PIC’s work includes not only activities directed to the parish and its well-being, but also labors on behalf of the Diocese and community. This is a part time position.  The PIC’s work week is to be no more than 19 hours, to ensure coverage of Sunday worship, office time, and pastoral care of the parish.  The PIC will keep a log of ministerial functions and hours.  Compensation consists of a paid salary, free housing, partial benefits and continuing education as specified by the Episcopal Diocese of New York. The parish is located in southern Westchester County and is just 30 minutes away from midtown Manhattan.
