| The Missioner for Youth at St. Michael & All Angels will be responsible for facilitating Christian education, fellowship, and community engagement opportunities for the youth of the parish (grades 6-12). This role also building bridges between youth /young adults with the broader church community and our neighbors in service.Duties and Responsibilities: > Create and establish a safe place to ask questions and engage in exploration of faith and spirituality. Provide a fun and interesting space for youth to “gather and grow” with activities to encourage deeper relationships with one another and with God; > Lead and develop ministry to young adults, collaborating with volunteer youth leaders and staff to conduct weekly youth group meetings during the school year; > Plan, develop, and execute a relationship-centered, multiculturally-relevant, age-appropriate Christian activity, fellowship and formation/education program for youth in grades 6-12; > Participate as a member of the Christian Formation team; > Collaborate with Clergy and team to provide an annual confirmation preparation; > Extend invitations and engage youth and young adults from outside the church to participate in these activities; > Plan and lead a retreat/service even each summer.*Additional responsibilities negotiable and listed on the accompanying posting. |
