Job Description
Trinity-by-the-Cove is currently seeking a full-time Director of Music to direct and build the music ministries of the church, including worship, concert series, and outreach concerts. The Director of Music will be organist, choirmaster and principal musician, working closely with the Rector to lead, manage and co-ordinate the music program as an effective part of Trinity’s comprehensive ministry. This full-time position gives direct oversight to music ministries and choir. This position reports directly to the Rector

Trinity-by-the-Cove is one of the largest Episcopal churches in Florida. It is located along a beautiful peninsula on Naples Bay in one of the most sought-after and rapidly growing communities in the country. Our worshipers offer a highly-educated and appreciative musical audience, both live and virtual, from around the world. The church and its newly renovated $7 million parish hall are home to a Casavant pipe organ (its replacement value is now over $1,000,000), an antique chamber organ which was hand built during the lifetime of J.S. Bach, a custom-built Circus Calliope which brightens many waterfront events, three pianos, a harpsichord, and four large cast bronze bells, ranging in size from 125 lbs. to 990 lbs. from Verdin Bell Foundry which herald every service and daily prayers.

Trinity-by-the-Cove’s sizable investment in musical excellence is an important strategic aspiration that works hand-in-hand to enhance our worship experience. Our music not only inspires current parishioners, it attracts newcomers through worship, and provides opportunities to raise money for outreach with additional music programing. Our music at Trinity-by-the-Cove concert series is appreciated by the Naples community.
