|Cristosal is seeking a North American Director of External Relations to help lead the fund-raising charge into our next phase of growth. Based in San Salvador with offices in Guatemala and Honduras, we are a nonprofit organization with a deep connection to the Episcopal Church, working in the Northern Triangle of Central America, applying a rights-based, victim-focused, research-informed approach to solving some of the world’s most pressing issues, including the crisis of forced displacement affecting communities from Central America to the U.S. border.
Cristosal is driving change in the Northern Triangle of Central America (El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras) through historic strategic litigation, innovative solutions for displacement due to violence, and research that informs NGOs and governmental organizations in the region and beyond.
The Director of External Relations will be responsible for building relationships that increase the revenue streams that allow us to achieve our mission and maximize our impact, working with a visionary, accomplished Executive Director, highly respected senior leaders in Central America, and a dedicated North American Board of Directors deeply committed to the mission.
Our ideal candidate will have at least five years experience in nonprofit fundraising, particularly in building relationships with individuals, faith communities, and small foundations. Must be creative, able to work independently, and share our belief that every human has the right to live free from fear and want.
