|The Diocese of Southwest Florida is seeking a director of communications. The position will oversee all electronic and print publications, as well as social media and video, for a diocese of almost 30,000. Critical deliverables include the Southern Cross magazine, biweekly Bridges email newsletter, DaySpring Event Catalog, Diocesan Annual Convention Guidebook and annual Diocesan Journal.
This position guides the online presence of the diocese, including the diocesan and DaySpring websites; continual news updates via multiple media channels; event promotion, registration and archiving; and video and photo archives. In addition, the position serves as a resource, consultant and catalyst to the 79 congregations of the diocese in improving their own communication efforts including newsletters, websites, publications and online presence. Technical skills must include the Adobe Creative Suite applications, website content management systems (WordPress, Digital Faith, html and css), email marketing platforms (Mailchimp), live stream/videoconference and social media platforms.
Located at DaySpring Episcopal Center in Parrish, FL, the role includes some travel to congregations and diocesan events. We seek a start date on/around June 1, 2021. A full description is available at www.episcopalswfl.org.
