Job Description
The Episcopal Church seeks its next Director, Human Resources. Reporting to the COO, the Director, HR is a critical member of the leadership team and supports the mission, values, and culture of the Church through strategic management of its HR function.  The Director, HR provides guidance and professional expertise to the Executive Leadership Team on matters related to HR and is responsible for recruitment, benefits, employee relations and all other HR functions. This is a critical role in employee relations and relied upon to identify issues or concerns and bring them to resolution in collaboration with the leadership team.  The Director, HR must have a proven record of accomplishment with a commitment to The Church’s mission and values, and experience in managing HR for a complex organization, preferably mission-driven. Requirements: BA degree in HR or related field, graduate degree or SPHR/PHR certification a plus; 10+ years’ experience in a HR department, particularly in organizational development and leadership coaching; 3+ years’ experience in a HR leadership position.
