Job Description

As the Parish Life Coordinator, you will support and strengthen connections within Saint John’s parish community through your welcoming presence, hospitality, and professionalism.

You will be the primary administrator that welcomes and integrates new members into the life of the parish. In this work you will ensure timely and accurate data entry for member’s records in the Realm database and connect new members with the small groups, staff members, and other cathedral resources that best fit their talents, needs, and interests.

You will be the primary administrator and staff connection for all small groups (internal and external) that are active at Saint John’s. Your support, in part via the use of tools within the Realm database, will help small groups to better connect with each other, to communicate their offerings to the broader community, and will streamline for the small groups and all others the reservations of rooms (physical or virtual) and other meeting needs.

You will be the primary coordinator of cathedral events such as Saint John’s Day, Blessing of the Bikes, Blessing of the Animals, Denver Pride, Juneteenth, etc. This work requires close coordination, collaboration, and excellent communications with the Cathedral Administrator (CA), facilities department, and other key staff and lay volunteers. Accurate and timely scheduling and effective communications are essential to ensure successful events.
