Job Description
An ordained priest with prior experience in Youth & Family Ministry, in a church setting. Must have proven collaborative leadership skills that bring people together to accomplish common ends. A gregarious, open personality is a must, combined with problem-solving and critical thinking skills, along with outstanding ability to work with volunteers.

Work closely with the Children and Youth Ministries Committee to:
● Spearhead the development and selection of updated curricula .
● Coordinate finding teaching materials.
● Lead collaborative effort in planning and developing special activities and seasonal programs.
● Recruit, train and supervise Sunday School teachers and Christian Education committee members.
Recruit, train, and supervise leadership for Parish Youth Program to:
● Develop and run youth activities, such as regular meetings, special fun events, participation in diocesan events, mission projects and spiritual activities.
● Maintain responsibility for the theological content of youth activities.
● Be an active advocate for resources to support programs

Teach Adult and Youth classes on occasion.
Make pastoral calls to hospitals, the homebound, newcomers and other parishioners to provide individual counseling as needed.
Participate in ministries in the diocese and in the Staunton community.
Conduct other duties as may arise.
