The Chaplain We Seek
The ministry of the Episcopal priest serving as Chaplain will be to provide spiritual, religious and personal counseling or guidance to residents, family members and employees. In this ministry, you will actively engage liturgical, sacramental, and pastoral ministry on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule. The Chaplain also will strive to support the staff and management to attain the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
The Chaplain will plan, develop, coordinate and conduct regularly scheduled religious services for residents, employees, family members, etc. The Chaplain will review pastoral care programs/services, to assure spiritual objectives are being met and will participate in making recommended changes. The Chaplain assumes the authority, responsibility and accountability for directing the religious services, programs and activities of this facility.
The Chaplain will be required to manage administrative, budgetary, and policy oversight for various areas of pastoral care and spiritual programming, as well as advise and report to the CEO on the status and progress of all programming.
Must have an undergraduate degree, BA or BS or its equivalent. A Masters of Divinity or other equivalent theological degree from an accredited theological school is preferred. Must be an ordained Priest of the Episcopal Church and will be licensed by the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma. Must have completed one (1) quarter of Clinical Pastoral Education.
Must have, as a minimum, five (5) years’ experience in a pastoral ministry. Must be orientated to health care practices and procedures.
$70,907/year (Inclusive of Cash Stipend/Housing/SECA Reimbursement) Family Health Insurance Coverage and CPG Pension Contribution
