| Grace Church Cathedral invites applications for the position of CANON ORGANIST and DIRECTOR of MUSIC. Grace is a growing cathedral parish of 3,250 souls in the midst of the growing and thriving historic community of Charleston, SC. The Cathedral’s future growth and success will depend on continuing to build upon its vibrant choral music tradition. Currently the Director of Music is responsible for overseeing three adult choirs, a children’s choir and is supported by a Sub-Organist as well as a team of paid Section Leaders/Staff Singers. As Organist, s/he will accompany all services, four of which are on Sunday, a midweek (Sung) Eucharist on Wednesdays as well as other special liturgies offered throughout the year. The Director of Music will work directly with the Dean to ensure that the music program continues to be at the heart of cathedral life.
