Job Description
The Campaign Coordinator seeks opportunities for The Fund for the Diaconate (The Fund) and the Association for Episcopal Deacons (AED) to find and help solicit potential donors to these organizations.

Hours: Approximately 10-20 hrs per week, flexible schedule, works from home or other existing office.

Salary: $1,000 per month, with estimated 40 hours per month

  • Manages the list of donors and prospects
  • Researches potential opportunities to meet with groups and individuals
  • Sets up appointments with the potential donors
  • Tracks activity and follows up with designated team members at each stage of the process
  • Maintains files of relevant sections of wills or estate documents
  • Coordinates travel arrangements for team members’ visits to potential donors and/or gatherings
  • Notifies AED Liaison of any donations immediately
  • Generates thank you letters from The Fund to donors
  • Sends monthly reports in writing to the Treasurer of The Fund.

Requirements: Knowledge of the following

  • The polity of The Episcopal Church (TEC) and its structures and organizations
  • Episcopal communication vehicles, ie, Episcopal News Service, the Episcopal Café, Public Affairs, etc
  • Episcopal seminaries and Formation programs
  • Geographic provinces of TEC, ie, Province I, II, etc
  • Familiarity with Google Docs or similar cloud-based systems
  • Ability to store collateral campaign materials in a dry/clean space for the length of the campaign

Other information:

  • An Episcopal Deacon is preferred
  • Annual appointment, renewal for two additional years possible
  • Resume required
  • Evidence of communication skills, samples requested
  • Three references
  • Limited travel may be required
  • Expenses paid for: out-of-pocket costs of travel, hotel and meals, when appropriate
  • Reimbursement for other reasonable office expenses
