Job Description
This position is New York City based.  However, telecommuting may be considered for highly qualified non-NY tristate applicants.

The AVP, Administrator Program Development is responsible for overseeing all aspects of professional development programming for the 4,500 administrators around the Church. This includes the design, development, implementation, and integration of administrator support, training, communication, education, and development programs.  He/she will also make recommendations for continuous improvements to meet changing client needs and benefit rules, products, and policy.

The incumbent will lead CPG’s internal B2B conference strategy partnering with the lines of business, and several corporate unit heads to execute and align conference experiences with CPG’s strategic plan. The incumbent will support CPG’s external conferences, as requested by CPG’s Church Relations group.

The incumbent must understand CPG’s businesses and strategic priorities so he/she can design value-added programs to help administrators around the Church understand CPG’s full range of benefits, products and services and how to access them. He/she should continually seek opportunities to increase B2B client knowledge, efficiency and effectiveness of their own work, and strategic support of initiatives that impact our B2B clients. He/she is flexible in approach, a critical thinker, a strategic planner, and is comfortable working in a complex and challenging environment.

The incumbent will collaborate widely with members of the Executive Leadership Team and senior CPG leadership to achieve CPG’s strategic priorities as they relate to our B2B clients and prospects. The role requires a high level of collaboration with individuals around the organization at the strategic and tactical level.

  • Experience in educational/training program development and adult learning principles, as well as e-learning approaches is preferred
  • Ability to fulfill business travel requirement of approximately 30%. Travel is primarily within the continental U.S., including trips of various lengths (generally 3 to 4 nights and possibly up to a week). 


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BA\BS in a related discipline – such as HR or Communications, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years combined experience in program management, learning and development, client support and/or quality assurance
  • An understanding of the Episcopal Church strongly desired
  • An instructional design certification or related coursework preferred
