|St. Stephen’s Church in Richmond, Virginia, seeks an ordained Episcopal priest to provide special oversight for our growing family ministries, while having opportunities to engage in all facets of ministry in a large, vibrant and socially engaged Episcopal church. With both traditional and innovative liturgies; thriving outreach ministries locally, nationally, and internationally; extensive small group ministries and engaging educational offerings; and a reputation as an open “village green” and sacred space for all people, St. Stephen’s Church provides clergy and lay professionals with an exciting opportunity to engage a healthy community that is steeped in Anglican tradition and actively reimagining church of the future.
This is a position for which experienced clergy, or recent seminary graduates with demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills, are eligible. The successful candidate will have a passion for youth ministry and for deepening the engagement of young people in parish life, as well as for faith development and spiritual nurture for people of all ages. Nurturing marriages and parenting skills, as well as teenagers and children in their spiritual lives, are primary concerns of the parish. The successful candidate will have special responsibility for these ages but will join a very strong team of lay and clergy professionals who share collegially in ministering for the wellbeing of all.
