|Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill, a vibrant program-size parish in the City of Alexandria and the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, invites applications for the position of full-time Assistant Rector. The parish worships in two locations about one-quarter mile from each other, at Zabriskie Chapel and at Immanuel Chapel on the grounds of the Virginia Theological Seminary. The position requires liturgical celebration, excellent preaching, loving pastoral care, and involvement in many parish ministries. A successful candidate will demonstrate gifts and passion for creating community and experience developing and managing church programs. The Assistant Rector must be a priest or transitional deacon; exhibit a mature, generous, creedal, orthodox Christian faith steeped in the Anglican tradition; and function well as part of a team of committed clergy, lay leaders, and staff.
Compensation is commensurate with experience, based on diocesan guidelines.
