|Never before has the work of planting New Episcopal Communities and redeveloping congregations felt more pertinent! Episcopal church planters practice Jesus’ call to take risks for the sake of love, meet new neighbors, and go out and make disciples.
Training, resources, and mutual encouragement are needed to do this holy work well. The Offices of Church Planting and Redevelopment, and Ethnic Ministries are collaborating to bring the Church this month-long series of training events, online conversations and podcasts. The 2020 Genesis-Koinonia Gathering will be held virtually from October 1-November 5.
The theme of this year’s Gathering is “What would be possible if…?” The Rt. Rev. Mark Edington will offer a podcast Keynote Address, offering his reflections on what would be possible if we embraced a new model of participatory worship, leadership and shared mission. Training sessions will include conversations on shared leadership, bi-vocational church planting, creating missional teams, and hosting transformative conversations.
Practitioners, dreamers and diocesan leaders are all invited to join in!
