|Presentation and Reception|
|My name is Giovanni Anbar. Although my name sounds Italian, I am 100% Palestinian Christian, born and raised in Jerusalem. I am very passionate about being part of the effort to build Palestine, which is why I moved back home in 1996 after finishing my BS in mechanical engineering in Vienna, Austria. I worked for five years on a Swiss-funded project to develop a vocational training system in Palestine. In 2000, I established the Episcopal Technological and Vocational Training Center (ETVTC) under the umbrella of the Anglican Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East. Our mission is to improve the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of Palestinian youth through technological education and vocational training. After being involved in this field for over 20 years, I believe we have accomplished much and there is still a long way to go.
I’m very pleased and honored to be in Boston visiting our American friends of the Diocese of Jerusalem and sharing our faith and daily life as Christian Palestinians in the Holy Land.
