Adult and Youth Conferences Returning to Kanuga this Summer
Kanuga welcomes adult and youth conferences back to its historic 1,400-acre retreat this summer for full, in-person participation. All conferences are now open for registration and each offers a range of financial assistance. “In 2020, all Kanuga conferences entered into a period of indefinite hiatus,” says Executive Vice President for Mission Jimmy Haden. “Then in 2021, we were able to offer a limited number of programs virtually or as hybrids. Nothing pleases us more than to be able to welcome everyone back to be here with us at Kanuga in this sacred space,” he says. KANUGA SUMMER CONFERENCES 2022: Kanuga Christian Formation June 13-16 Theme: “Such A Time As This” (Esther 4:14) This is our defining moment—a chance to make a difference. God has great plans for us! May we be Esthers and be bold, take some risks, and love big! Workshops will be offered along three themes: Renewal of Mind, Renewal of Body, and Renewal of Spirit. We will enjoy hands-on activities, being in nature, and together discover great ideas to implement within our ministries. The Rev. Callie Swanlund and Dr. Westina Matthews, Leaders The Rev. Ryan Hawthorne, Chaplain Ana Hernandez, Musician ———————————————————- Nuevo Amanecer June 16-19 Theme: “Rejoice! The Spirit dwells in us.” The Office of Latino/Hispanic Ministries and Kanuga partner in offering the biannual Nuevo Amanecer conference for those who are already involved in Latino Ministry as well as those interested in becoming involved. The conference brings together many successful and dynamic leaders involved in Latino Ministries; offers workshops that provide training that can be implemented in any parish; and features inspiring keynote addresses. ———————————————————- In Person June 19-24 Theme: “Thin Places” Youth Week is the summer event for KEY Conferences (Kanuga Empowered Youth).
