Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan, I AM is a strategic East-West contemporary art exhibition organized by CARAVAN featuring 31 premier Middle Eastern women artists from 12 countries celebrating the rich, diverse and pivotal contribution that Middle Eastern women make to the enduring global quest for harmony and peace. Designed to address stereotypes and challenge misconceptions of the “other,” the I AM exhibition is a visual celebration of the crucial role that Middle Eastern women play as guardians of peace. Running from June 10 – August 7, 2018 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Seattle, WA. The official opening program and reception will be held at 5:00pm on June 10, 2018 and is open to the public. Special guest speakers at the opening event include Alia Ali, the acclaimed contemporary artist from Yemen, participating in the I AM exhibition, Bishop Gregory Rickel of the Diocese of Olympia and Rev. Canon Paul-Gordon Chandler, President of CARAVAN.

I AM is showcased at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Seattle, WA as part of its 16-month USA tour. It was then showcased on London’s Trafalgar Square at the historic St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and then in the US at the American University Museum in Washington, D.C., followed by at The Center for the Arts in Jackson, Wyoming and Christ Church Cathedral in Cincinnati, Ohio.
