AFRICAN DESCENT MINISTRIES is announcing its 2023 2-day convocation to gather lay and clergy leaders serving on diocesan staff  responsible for African Descent Ministries within their dioceses.  This gathering will allow for the sharing of common mission and vision, as well as the building of relationships, collegiality, and support.  Time will be given to celebrate successes, share best practices and resources, and to generate fresh ideas.  The synergy created through this convocation will facilitate communication amongst staff called to this ministry; strengthen the effectiveness of these offices; and help to continue the church’s social justice witness to the wider community.

The Gathering for Clergy and Lay Leaders responsible for Diocesan African Descent Ministries will take place May 16 – 17, 2023 at the Golden Nugget Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.   Registration fee is $300.00 and covers hotel, meals, and conference resources.
