Event Details
The Community of the Gospel, a non-residential monastic community with standing in The Episcopal Church, hosts Fr. Greg Peters, author of The Story of Monasticism: Retrieving an Ancient Tradition for Contemporary Spirituality (Baker Academic, 2015), in a free, open to the public conversation via Zoom on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Fr. Peters is an expert on monastic history and teaches at Nashotah House Theological Seminary, Nashotah, WI, in addition to his ministry as Rector of Epiphany Anglican Church (ACNA) of La Mirada, CA.  Participants who  pre-register for the event either with Br. Daniel-Chad Hoffman, Guardian of the Community of the Gospel (see contact info below) or using this Doodle link:  https://doodle.com/poll/wcyfv9i7nwfg2xyi will receive a Zoom invitation prior to the event. All who register are encouraged to obtain and read Fr. Peters’ book in advance.  After an initial presentation, there will be a Q & A session using the Zoom chat feature.
