Event Details
Collaborative ministry, …team ministry, …shared ministry – all speak of the Christian understanding that we are a Body with a variety of gifts, each of which is most effective when used alongside all the others.
That’s how Jesus’ disciples operated 2000 years ago; that’s what St Paul wrote about in his letters to the Church; and each generation needs to learn and re-learn it in their own ministry context.
Our course aims are to:
•Explore and engage with a collaborative style of ministry, theology and enabler leadership for ordained and laity.
•Experience the collegiality and knowledge of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia / Te Hahi Mihinare ki Aotearoa ki Niu Tireni, ki Nga Moutere o Te Moana Nui a Kiwa in the Auckland Diocese and the Diocesan Enablers Team.
•Discuss emerging perspectives on church and ministry.
•Be involved in interactive presentations.
•Add skills, resources and friendships to encourage you further in ministry.
This course presents the theology and theory of collaborative ministry along with skills and tools for authentic engagement with people both inside and beyond the church. Lay (family, youth and those involved in church roles) and ordained ministers alike will increase their confidence and skills through the varied style of the workshops which offer input through presenters, group work and worship.
