Over six hundred years ago, an English mystic named Julian of Norwich practiced what we would now call self-isolation and experienced the evil effects of a pandemic. Yet she was still able to proclaim with confidence: “All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.” Learn more about the first woman to write a book in the English language and discover what wisdom Julian might have to impart to us today in this study of Amy Laura Hall’s book Laughing at the Devil: Seeing the World with Julian of Norwich with The Reverend Peter Thompson. Please read the Preface and the Introduction prior to the first class.
